Can You Make The Perfect Drake Album Using Only 10 Songs?

As we wait for Drake’s upcoming album Certified Lover Boy, many are wondering what will the project entail. Will there be more singing or rapping? Longtime Drake fan Kevin Durant said recently on Twitter Spaces that he thinks the album will be him all rapping. Using the CLB tag as a juxtaposition to a rap album is the ultimate illustration of his career. Based on his recent work with Dark Lane Demo Tapes, Scary Hours 2, features, and leaks we can see that Drake has tapped into a different gear.

That made me think, “what would the perfect Drake album sound like?”

In the 2019 Rap Radar interview, the Artist of the Decade states that he tries to have the right mix of songs to cater to all fans. There are some who enjoy his bravado raps while others prefer his “soft” side. His duality allows him to be effortlessly elusive which is why many revere him as the greatest. It wasn’t easy cutting down a deep catalog to only 10 songs (that’s what deluxe albums are for), but I think this a solid combination to tribute to his signature nighttime sound.

Note that this is NOT a top-10 songs list.
