Brixton-bred singer, Nia Smith, kicked off the show with “Personal,” a single from her soon-to-be-released EP Give Up The Fear dropping early November 2024. Smith also serenaded the crowd with a surprise cover of Lauryn Hill’s “Ex-Factor” that left everyone on a nostalgic high. Being her very first tour, Smith had no trouble commanding the stage with her rich, powerful vocals and stage presence. Stay tuned to see what she does next in the R&B world!
Elmiene emerged to the stage to open the show with “Why” followed by one of many crowd-favorites, “Crystal Tears.” The Houston concert-goers were also gifted with brief covers of H-Town’s “Knockin’ da Boots,” “Emotions” and “They Like It Slow” throughout the show. The energy in the room skyrocketed as Elmiene performed “Light Work” followed by a smooth shift into “Choose You” which left everyone floating on cloud nine. The UK R&B star later stunned the crowd with a shout-worthy cover of D’Angelo’s “Untitled (How Does It Feel)” before transitioning seamlessly into “Mama.” Houston attendees were in for a treat when Elmiene performed an unreleased track titled, “Avalone” that left concert-goers in great anticipation of this new record’s release date.
It was only right that the show concluded with “Sweetness,” “Anyways,” and “Someday,” his most-played song on Spotify to date. Elmiene left Houston in pure astonishment of his undeniable talent as a singer and songwriter – a musical gift from God himself. The Lowkey R&B team is eager to see how his talent and presence alters the R&B landscape for the better in the coming years.
