Top 2023 Free Agent Edge Rushers
What You Expect is always here to provide you with details when it comes to an NFL-free agent, specifically edge rushers. The edge rusher position is a new clarification of a position that consists of defensive ends and outside linebackers. We will take a deep dive into the few edge rushers that will turn their success or lack thereof into a new destination.

QB | RB | WR | TE | OLine | DL / EDGE | LB | DB
1 Yannick Ngakoue
Ngakoue isn't great against the run, but his status as an elite pass-rusher has helped to make up for those struggles. Yannick added 9.5 sacks and 29 tackles in his 2022 campaign with the Colts. He has been a name mentioned for the past two or three offseasons but he is finally in a position to make a splash. I predict Yannick uses this time to get his final big payday and fills the void left by Robert Quinn.
Prediction: Chicago Bears
2 Marcus Davenport EDGE
Davenport racked up 32 pressures in 2022 and only half a sack yet he is one of the top edge rushers in a weak free-agent class. The season prior, Davenport had 9 sacks and I am sure teams will look for him to have that level of success in 2023. Since he entered the league, Davenport’s 17.8% pass-rush win rate and 13.9% pressure percentage are both top-20 marks among edge defenders. He's also earned a very respectable 82.1 run-defense grade per pff for his career, which ranks 16th over the span.
Prediction: New Orleans Saints or Arizona Cardinals
3 Jadeveon Clowney
Jadeveon Clowney hated every second of playing. on the Browns because he did not want to be anyone's "Robbin". Clowney definitely feels he has what it takes to big an elite edge rusher in the NFL. I look for Clowney to go to a team that is willing to take a risk on his talent. The team that will land him has a history. of taking risks on players such as Clowney.
Prediction: New England Patriots
