The Hot Corner: Plays for Monday, May 29th

Got absolutely blanked yesterday. Days like yesterday are brutal but we must push forward. Yesterday killed the great we had - back to the lab to get the coin back.

Nathan Eovaldi U6.5 Ks -132

*DET strikes out 21.1% vs RHP in L30

*DET is tied for 6th in Ks in L3 (7)

*3 targets in today's lineup

Eovaldi has been dealing as of late but without the strike outs. Date shows line should be at 5.5 thus giving us that much more breathing room.

Taj Bradley O5.5 Ks +104

*CHC strikes out 26.5% vs RHP in L30

*CHC averages 9.67 Ks in L3

*4 strike out targets in the lineup

Bradley has a bright future in the league and matchups like today highlight how he deals.

Jose Ramirez / Josh Lowe 1+ Hit Each -112

Jose Ramirez:

*2/2 vs Wells

*.328 / .408 / .520 vs RHP

Josh Lowe:

*2/3 vs Stroman

*.314 / .356 / .613 vs RHP

Ryne Nelson U4.5 Ks -141

*COL strikes out 19.6% vs RHP in L30

*COL averages 7.67 Ks in L3

*3 strike out targets in the lineup

Nelson has a below average K/9 (Ks per 9 innings) & combination with how Rockies bat vs RHP this seems like a solid line.

Griffin Canning U4.5 Ks +104

*CWS strikes out 21.8% vs RHP in L30

*CWS averages 7.33 Ks in L3

*3 strike out targets in the lineup

Canning has been average this season and this Sox lineup should battle in the counts - under at plus money - LOVE IT.

Bobby Miller U4.5 Ks +104

*WAS strikes out 19.1% vs RHP in L30

*WAS averages 8.33 Ks in L3

*Only 1 strike out target

In most cases I would trust Miller to get 5 Ks but Washington has been one of the tougher lineups to strike out - under at plus money is the move.
