Early Predictions To WWE Royal Rumble 2022

Now that Day 1 is behind us, it’s now WWE Rumble season. The Road to WrestleMania doesn’t begin without the annual Royal Rumble match. In a few weeks, two superstars will clinch a world title match on the Grandest Stage of Them All. Ahead of the 2022 event, let’s take a look at some potential winners.

MEN’S ROYAL RUMBLE

BOBBY LASHLEY

The All Mighty has been wanting to challenge Brock Lesnar for some time. In the Fatal 5-way match at Day 1, Lashley nearly captured the win by putting Lesnar in The Hurt Lock before Big E intervened.

As Brock Lesnar celebrated his sixth world championship, you could see Lashley lurking The Beast from the aisle. The dream match is imminent. A first-time Rumble victory for Lashley would be a great way to kick-off the story.

BIG E

2021 featured Big E becoming Mr. Money In The Bank and WWE Champion. With his reign ending at Day 1, he’s on a quest to get back to the top. Would he avenge his loss to Brock Lesnar or head over to SmackDown and challenge Roman Reigns?

SETH ROLLINS

Seth Rollins is no stranger to seizing opportunities on the big stage. The 2019 winner is looking for his shot at a world title after being on the outside for some time. He earned a one-on-one match for the WWE Championship prior to Day 1 before it turned into a Fatal 5-way. Expect The Architect to find a way to capture the gold.

AJ STYLES

Styles is back in singles competition following the split with Omos. The 2022 event will mark 6 years since he made his WWE debut in the Royal Rumble match. In such time, he became a Grand Slam Champion and adding a Royal Rumble will join the long list of accolades. Styles is a great dark horse to win and is a solid contender for Lesnar and Reigns.

WOMEN’S ROYAL RUMBLE

BIANCA BELAIR

2021 was the year of Bianca Belair. The EST won last year’s Rumble match, defeated Sasha Banks in the main event of WrestleMania, and was the Sole Survivor in Team RAW’s victory at Survivor Series. Belair’s looking to regain the throne since embarrassing loss to Becky Lynch at SummerSlam. Becoming the first repeat winner in the women’s match creates a great story in her quest.

RHEA RIPLEY

Ripley has been on a slow burn as of lately, but expect her to cause havoc soon. A true dark horse candidate to win and she serves as a great challenger to both champions. Can a Rumble victory for Ripley bring her another WrestleMania moment?

SASHA BANKS

Banks headlined WrestleMania last year losing her title to Bianca Belair and is looking to make things different this year. A match against any of her fellow 4 Horsewomen members is an automatic box office draw. SmackDown is in need of a major contender for Charlotte Flair and The Boss is a solid option.

LIV MORGAN

Liv Morgan is surely emerging into becoming a star. Her feud with Becky Lynch isn’t over just yet and Morgan winning the Rumble can possibly bring the ultimate breakthrough she needs. Who doesn’t love a good underdog story?
