What You Expect: XFL Week 1

I am back again, tell your friends and sound the horns. I do not know what number article it is but I know I am still beating Jaymes Peckham. As a gambler, I am always looking for new ways to get an edge of sportsbooks thus you know I have to be tuned into the XFL. I do not know much about the history of the XFL but Vince McMahon has his product on ABC, ESPN, Fox in its opening year. The games are very fast paced however three out of the four games went under, I expect that to change drastically.

Here were the scores from the weekend in the XFL.

Final: Defenders 31, Dragons 19

(o/u 50.5, Defenders -9)

Final: Roughnecks 37, Wildcats 17

(o/u 51, Roughnecks -6.5)

Final: Guardians 23, Vipers 3

(o/u 53, Vipers -5)

Final: Battlehawks 15, Renegades 9

(o/u 53, Renegades -9)

As a Temple alum, I am happy to announce that Phillip Walker of the Roughnecks is by far the best player in the league, Landry Jones is terrible—I don’t know why they though he would be the face of the league. Shawn Oakman will be in the NFL.

What did I say?? Shawn Oakman is back as the Baylor Beast gets a sack! @iamoakman#XFL #Wildcats pic.twitter.com/tRZqbpqh7O— Tom (@XFLTom) February 9, 2020

Sammie Coates still cannot catch and the QB talent in this league is terrible! My favorite part of the weekend was seeing coaches like Kevin Gilbride on the sideline.

It was also amazing that the league is allowing the fans to see how refs review play calls, how players interact with coaches and how coaches call plays. I am extremely excited to see what happens in Week Two of the league but look for the Roughnecks to dominate this league simply because they have the best QB. Please

Note: Since most of these games went under last week, WE ARE ON THE OVERS! Make sure you follow me on the socials @dwavocalz. I am #XFLTWITTER
