Rico Nasty’s Lethal Tour stop in Houston was everything fans could hope for: raw, unapologetic, and bursting with energy from start to finish. The crowd arrived in punk-inspired outfits that matched Rico’s fearless style, and the anticipation inside the venue was electric.

The night kicked off with SADBOI, an alternative artist from Toronto, Canada, who blends garage, pop, and rap with her Caribbean roots. Backed by DJ TK, she delivered a fiery set that had the crowd hooked from the start. Songs like “Baddies,” “Bi*ches Over Boys,” “No Time,” and “Fashion Week” showcased her unique sound and confident stage presence. Houston embraced her like one of their own, and it was clear that SADBOI’s reach extends far beyond Toronto.

When Rico’s DJ stepped out to hype the crowd, the energy in the room shifted into overdrive. Fans began chanting “Who want it, who want it” in perfect sync, their voices growing louder with each repetition. The anticipation reached its peak as the opening beat of “WHO WANT IT” dropped, and in that instant, the venue exploded. Moments later, Rico stormed the stage in a black cropped top layered over a bralette, leather short shorts, and platform knee-high combat boots that commanded attention. The moment she hit the first verse, the room transformed into a frenzy of lights, movement, and sound.

Rico’s set was an adrenaline rush from beginning to end. Some of the crowd favorites she performed from her Lethal album included “SON OF A GUN,” “BUTTERFLY KISSES,” “PINK,” “EAT ME!,” and “TEETHSUCKER (YEA3x).” Each track hit with intensity, blending her signature punk-rap energy with moments of melody and playfulness. The crowd screamed every lyric, matching her energy with mosh pits and chants that filled every corner of the room.

Midway through the show, Rico reached back to her Sugar Trap 2 era to perform “Poppin” and “Rojo. “The crowd erupted when she rapped, “I ain’t in Houston, but I got a rocket on me.” The line, a clever nod to the Houston Rockets, created one of the night’s standout moments. The connection between Rico and her fans was undeniable. You could feel the mutual respect and love. She gave the city her all, and they gave it right back.

Between songs, Rico took moments to connect with the audience, laughing, signing gifts, and soaking in the energy. At one point, she slowed the night down by sitting on a barstool to perform “Can’t Win Em’ All,” a softer and more introspective song that revealed her versatility as an artist. The transition between chaos and calm showed her ability to command attention in any setting, proving that her artistry extends far beyond pure aggression.

Rico is one of the few artists who can move effortlessly between genres, including pop, alternative, and hip-hop/rap, without ever losing her identity. No matter the sound or the stage, she remains authentically herself. That ability to evolve while staying true to herself has allowed her to build a lasting connection with her fans and carve out her own lane in music.

As the night carried on, Rico powered through “Rage,” “Swamp Bi*ches,” and “Gosta Get Paid,” a fitting finale that left fans screaming for more. She looked radiant and confident, owning the stage with ease.

Rico Nasty’s Houston show was more than a concert. It was a celebration of growth, creativity, and authenticity. She has evolved into an artist who no longer has to prove anything. Her performance was fearless, vibrant, and emotional all at once. On this night, she gave Houston exactly what they came for: a lethal dose of energy and flair.
