Sol Blume 2023 Recap: 5 Moments That Will Give You Major FOMO
Sol Blume returned to Sacramento, CA, and brought the heat with them with their explosive R&B performances. The two-day festival was held on August 19 and 20th at Discovery Park.
Below are some moments that will make you want to purchase early-bird tickets next year:
Arin Ray / Coco Jones
Coco Jones brought the heat with her performance on Sunday, but what made her performance extra spicy was when she brought out Arin Ray for a serenade. Arin Ray also performed earlier in the day. He rocked the crowd with “Gold,” “Reckless,” and more.
Take a look at the sexy serenade below:
Chlöe Bailey Performs For The First Time Since Foot Injury
Chlöe Bailey recently had a foot injury in the beginning of the month which she shared on social media. The post included a photo of herself in a wheelchair shrugging. The "Have Mercy" singer captioned the photo "uh oh."
The Atlanta native, however, performed her heart out at Sol Blume, making her first on-stage appearance since her injury this month.

P-Lo Brings Out Ray J
Another surprise was when Plo brought out Ray J. The “One Wish” singer wasn’t on the bill at all, so this was a complete shock (a good one at that.) The admiration for Ray J is not new, as the rapper previously tweeted about the singer's influence on the culture.

Hip-Hop At Sol Blume
While we came for the R&B (and stayed for it), we couldn’t help but vibe out to the hip-hop artists that put on a show at Sol Blume. On Saturday, we were blessed with hip-hop acts Joey Bada$$, Isaiah Rashad, and P-Lo, who were welcomed with open arms.
The timing was also perfect since hip-hop had its 50th anniversary a week before the festival.
Headliners Brent Faiyaz, Kehlani, & Special Guest Teyana Taylor Steal The Show
I think we all can agree that these headliners did what they had to do on stage. All three artists performed nearly one hour sets a piece so we were well fed with some good R&B towards the end of the night.
As the smoke cleared, Brent Faiyaz emerged front and center. He was the first headliner on the first night of the festival. He performed hits “All Mine,” “Wasting Time,” “Jackie Brown,” and more.
Next up was Teyana Taylor on night two. Taylor hit the stage as the second to last performance of the night as she performed “Bad,” “No Manners,” and more. With Taylor you know you will be getting an experience and she did just that. Since she announced that she would be stepping away from music, seeing her perform in any capacity is a special treat.
Kehlani shut down the house and closed out the festival. The Bay Area native performed “Toxic,” “Nunya,” “I Like Dat,” and threw it back to the day one fan with tracks like “Honey.” She even did a sexy slowed-down rendition of Usher’s “There Goes My Baby” where she spoke to the crowd “Why you guys acting like you don’t know Usher?” when the crowd was mum during certain parts. The singer also announced she was working on a new album. She, of course, ended the night with none other than “Nights Like This” because how could you forget a night as special as this?
