Kiana Ledé Transcends Stage during 'Grudges' Tour in Charlotte

Kiana Ledé's Grudges The Tour continued its run in Charlotte, N.C. on Oct. 10 and fans were left mesmerized by Ledé's performance. Coming off her sophomore album Grudges, she has been on the road alongside San Diego native Phabo. The LP is her first in three years following her 2020 debut album Kiki, which featured songs such as “Forfeit,” “Second Chances,” and “Chocolate.” Ledé sat with Lowkey R&B earlier this summer describing the project.

This past June, Phabo released Don’t Get Too Cozy, and is riding the momentum of standout tracks "Luv Songs (Unruly)" and "Stay" with Arin Ray. He has previously worked with R&B staples such as Khelani, Duckwrth, Eric Bellinger and Alex Vaughn.

Fans flooded The Underground quickly and early ahead of Phabo's opening set. They erupted upon his arrival. Instantly, he displayed his showmanship from igniting "Skee Yee" chants to doing the electric slide. Phabo even performed along the barricade and immersed himself with the crowd. At the end, they were yearning for a longer set from him. "Scorpio Moon" and "Luv Songs" were signature tracks of the set.

Kiana made her grand entrance harmonizing "Bitter Bitch," the album's intro track. From there, she went through a medley of tracks that put her vocal range and choreography on full display. With tracks such as "Gone," "Damage," and "LMK" to even "Second Chances," it was a track list that all fans definitely enjoyed. In between tracks, Kiana would then have conversations with fans and share backstories of her songs. Of course, she had fans rallied together ahead of "Gemini Slander."

Since the day of the show was Mental Health Day, Kiana got intimate with the crowd by sitting on a stool and sharing stories of her past. She used her experiences to help shed light and advice to those who may be having personal battles of their own. Each of her stories led into the tracks "Heavy" and "Deserve" respectively.

Kiana closed out the show on a dream-like ride. She performed an acapella run of the "Jealous" hook with smoke filling the stage. Throughout "Deeper," "Ex," and "Magic," it felt like you were in heaven.

Kiana is wrapping up 2023 by taking her tour overseas. The "Ex" star is visiting Australia, the Philippines, South Korea, the U.K., France, and more. Tickets for the international leg are available now.
