Fousheé knows exactly the kind of artist she wants to be, and her performance at the House of Blues on the Pointy Heights Tour made that clear. Dedicated to her Pointy Heights album, released earlier this year as a tribute to her Jamaican roots and her late grandfather, the tour brought her signature alternative R&B sound to life. Houston was lucky enough to be the second stop, experiencing an intimate yet electrifying night with the rising star.

The evening began with DJ Hu Dat, who set the tone with an impeccable mix of hits, including jersey club remixes that had the crowd moving early on. TisaKorean followed, delivering a playful and high-energy set that embraced his self-described “silly” personality, warming up the room for Fousheé.
Taking the stage in all-black leather with fringe and a guitar in hand, Fousheé made a commanding entrance. Not only a singer but also a musician, songwriter, and collaborator with hip-hop greats like Steve Lacy, Lil Wayne, and Vince Staples, she showed the full range of her artistry. Backed by her band, she brought a rockstar energy to her set, effortlessly weaving between raw vocals and intricate instrumentation.
Her setlist included fan favorites like “Feel Like Home” and “Rice and Peas,” each track a heartfelt nod to her Jamaican heritage. A standout moment of the night came when she performed her song “War,” expressing her deep love and admiration for Bob Marley, whose influence shines in her work.
As this was her first tour, Fousheé’s excitement was infectious. She danced and passionately performed throughout, connecting with the crowd as if she were performing for close friends. The Pointy Heights Tour is not just a showcase of her immense talent but a celebration of identity, artistry, and joy. Houston fans left knowing they’d witnessed the early stages of a star destined to shine even brighter.
